The wonder kid
AndroidAndroid is like one of those prodigy kids (or in Google's case, adolescents) that can play the piano at the age of 5: as impressive as they play you know they are not at a professional level just yet but that it is only a matter of time until they get there. It is not a question of "if", but "when".
...
Android is currently advancing at an incredible pace. Just a few months ago the version 1.5 was out, and Google said that version 1.6 would be available in autumn and then v2.0 by the end of the year. Well, version 2.0 came out at the end of October! And the updates to the OS are significant, though there still does not seem to be any support for front facing cameras for video calls (yeah yeah, I know, I am the only person this planet who actually uses that feature).
The only reason I did not buy the HTC Hero a couple of months ago was that I was not sure if the Hero's hardware would be up to the task of running v2.0 later on. That, and if I would have been able to update it to v2.0 in the first place.
Now I am waiting for a good device running v2.0; again, it is not a matter of "if", but "when"...
